When you're hard pressed for new ideas and struggling to come to a consensus the first thing you should never do is form a committee. Genes were irrational pieces of code, mutating in a cacophony of entropy at random intervals with little regard for consequence, but when it came to political decisions their conduct was nothing short of predictable. All you needed was a perceived crisis and a common enemy to rally around and later destroy, and you could have all the meetings and bureaucracy you wanted. The anti-human genome society had the requisite desirables in place and tonight they were having a committee meeting. Nothing good could come from this.
